"Bab es Salam" is a home for orphaned children based on an Islamic upbringing and way of life. It is more than just an orphanage, rather a home where children can feel wanted in a clean and hygienic environment.
Quality, in all its meanings, has been the cornerstone of "Bab es Salam", something the founding team have instilled since inception, and still continue to monitor today. Staff at "Bab es Salam" are handpicked and approved by the founding team to ensure the best quality care is provided to children who just want to be part of a family, and live in the safety of a caring home.
When the home was first started in 1988, it was never imagined that over time, further developments would include an additional house for girls, a mosque where people from all over the neighbourhood would congregate for prayer, and even a classroom to further their Islamic education.
All of this, and the day to day running of "Bab es Salam" is because of generous donations and pledges from members of the public and long term regular sponsors.
